Designing your day

I teach a class called ” Designing your day with the power of intentions” this class is one of the most powerful classes that I teach because it supplies you with the tools to create your day. Using intentions and affirmations you align your thoughts and words with the expectancy of great things happening.
So tell me how do you start your day?  As a mom I would just get up and hit the floor running, gotta do this, gotta do that and the list went on. Very rarely was I able to sit down in the silence with a pencil and paper to map out my day. So I was designing by default. What that means is that your day is being created with any help from you so whatever random thoughts you are thinking show up. Not always pleasant. So I decided to design my day, waking up 30 minutes earlier, sitting and intending the things I wanted to happen that day as well as even writing down something that I knew I couldn’t do and giving that list to my Angels. Guess what happen, great things began to appear.
So my questions to you is how are your days designed?

Mercury In Retrograde By S. Miller

At several points throughout the year most of us will be bombarded with the maddening effects of Mercury in retrograde. Mercury is a planet which governs all transportation and communication issues. Mercury is not an emotional planet, but rather a highly objective, truth-seeking one. It rules intelligence, education and truth. When it is in retrograde, some of its power is held back.

When Mercury starts turning in an apparent backward motion, we will start to feel the effects of this event days or even as far as two weeks earlier. When the planet normalizes we will see the tempo of events pick up in our lives as the planet becomes "stationary" and then speeds forward.
Gemini and Virgo are signs ruled by Mercury, so if you are one of those born during those months, you will be complaining especially loudly. If you work in the industries ruled by this planet such as sales, writing, public relations, advertising, publishing, air freight, the post office or express mail, any transportation industry, from the airlines to Amtrak, you'll also be especially vulnerable to this planet's weird motions in September. (If you are a Gemini, for example, who works in publishing, it's no use calling in for a month of mental health days--you can't escape!)

What happens when Mercury retrogrades? You miss appointments, your computer equipment crashes, checks get lost, you find the car you just purchased during Mercury retrograde is a lemon. (Or, you hate your haircut, the lamp you bought shorts out, your sister hates her birthday gift.) There will be countless delays, cancellations and postponements--but know these will benefit you in the long run. Don't fight them, although your frustration level and feeling of restlessness will be hard to cope with at times.
All machinery and things with moving parts--such as computers, VCRs, camera equipment, garbage disposals, and so forth, will reveal any weak links now. It is critical that you back up your data system and be more careful and vigilant than ever. Projects will demand more time and money than anticipated this month.
In matters of the heart, if your boyfriend or girlfriend breaks up with you or says something hurtful, take a wait-and-see attitude. Since Mercury rules speech, they may not mean what you think they are saying now. Let them have some space, and wait to see if they mean in October what they said in September.
When traveling, leave early and allow for extra travel time. Have all bags double-taped closed, count your belongings, double-check addresses and reconfirm appointments. Things get lost when Mercury messes us up. Take NOTHING for granted. The sector of your chart that Mercury happens to be skating through will be effected most dramatically, so check your forecast!

Why would the Universe give us Mercury retrograde? Because to move forward it is sometimes necessary to backtrack and reconfigure our paths in life. It is important to reconsider, repair, reflect, and reconnect. Mercury forces us to slow down and fix what's broken, and in so doing, rethink things. It also gives us time to get to projects we have put on the back-burner.
Some activities are lucky or actually improve when Mercury retrogrades. You are likely to bump into old friends that you haven't seen in years. Adopted children tend to find their birth parents during Mercury retrograde periods, or people locate their long lost siblings. Prosecutors often find clues to crimes that had previously remained unsolved for years. (Although sometimes the reverse is true--there is a greater danger, or example, that police can bungle evidence during a Mercury retrograde period, for clear thinking doesn't come easy for any of us then.) Mail that went astray weeks or even years ago shows up during Mercury retrograde. Some things that were lost reappear.

Now is also a good time to dress old wounds, clean up relationships or to simply bury the hatchet. Some people have great breakthroughs in psychotherapy during a Mercury retrograde period. For salesman, it is a positive time to backtrack over previous contacts rather than call on new ones. It is a perfect time to schedule work on projects that you haven't had time to do and you've let pile up. Bring your resume or portfolio up to date, and clean out your closets. Take time to paint the house. Clear your decks.
Just try not to start new things. If you have to start a job during a Mercury retrograde period know that the nature of the job is likely to change dramatically over time. Perhaps the person you report to will leave, or your responsibilities will be very different from what you thought they would be. Or your company won't be ready to take you on, and you won't have much to do until things are reorganized. But remember, if this was a position that you tried for in the past, then you've got the vibes working for you rather than against you.
Finally, what about people born with Mercury retrograde? If you are due to give birth to a baby during this period, don't fret. The ancients felt that this aspect lends a more philosophical tone to the character. Mercury rules thinking, therefore an individual born with this aspect tends to reflect deeply over events and issues throughout their lifetimes. In this case, having this aspect could be a big plus!

Chose your side

Everyday of your life you have the chance to chose. You can chose how your day will be, who you will attract, even how successful you will be. Yet there are so many people that feel powerless. You want a great life, with lots of love and wonderful friendships but there are not appearing. You are applying everything that you have ever read, heard and even the things that people have told you to do but nothing is happening. The reason for this is that you have left out one key ingredient and it is called Faith. No matter what you know, if you don't have faith that it is going to happen then you are on the Fear side of the road.

This walk of life contains 2 sides of the road, the Faith side is the side where all things are possible , everything that you can believe you can achieve, Faith is where the Universe literally opens up and says" What do you want?' Faith is the evidence of things unseen, Faith tells you "YES YOU CAN" when in reality all you see are closed doors, Faith says "Hold on, we are working on it.

The fear side of the road tells you that "you can't" " that is impossible" "what will people say" "no one is gonna do that" " You can't find love" "why you?'. Fear is FALSE EVIDENCE APPEARING REAL!!

So when it comes to having the life you desire, chose a side... I chose FAITH..

Much Love,
Fran

Words of Katy

I have a lot of people who ask me about "Katy", so today I thought that I would tell you a bit about her and then allow her to speak...

Katy is an Angel, when she first came into my energy she had no name and told me that she was like most Angels not attached to names, however that Angels are attached to the vibration of your words. So I ask her " What do I call you?" and she said" A name that means love or someone that you are fond of that is not physical." So I started calling her Katy( which is my grandmothers name.) Katy began to tell me that she is an Angel that is on the 14th dimension of the heavenly realms and that she is not an Archangel, but that she specializes in educating,  empowering, uplifting and setting a straight course for those who are interested but that she cuts through the chase. She also told me that she has spent a lot of time in the South and has a Southern Draw. People who have seen me channel Katy knows that she loves chocolate, doesn't like for me to sit and is a very straight shooter with a very contagious laugh.

Now I will allow her to share a few words:

Greetings,
Firstly I want to let you know that I am thankful that you are allowing me to give a messages to all who will read this but this . Everything that you need in your life is given to you, you have a chance to accept it or reject it. Most of the time physical beings reject it without realizing that they are by the thoughts that they think and the words that they speak and yet you wonder where it is? ( Laughing)  You have to be patience enough to continue on your journey, some things can happen over night somethings happen in a few days some in a few years for spirit knows no time. We work according to your faith, did you know that? And sometimes having faith means waiting. You see God is a loving, caring God and his desires are that you have your desires but if you can not believe that you will how can one give those to you. You must keep your eyes on the bigger picture and if you need to pull from something pull from the times that you were a marvelous creator, when you wanted something in your physical life and nothing was gonna stop you. You are energy, energy attracts energy and when you have on the full jacket of knowing that you have what you need. It is coming.

Thank you dear one, I am complete for now.

Thank you Katy for allowing me to be the vessel through which you speak, I truly am humbled and I love you.

In Gratitude,
Fran

The Power of Intentions P.L. Desy

It’s time to change the way we think and speak about our dreams. Transforming a conversation, just like manifesting a dream, begins by setting an intention. Your intentions will assist you in taking greater control of your life.

A working definition for intention is: “to have in mind a purpose or plan, to direct the mind, to aim.” Lacking intention, we sometimes stray without meaning or direction. But with it, all the forces of the universe can align to make even the most impossible, possible. My intention is to transform the conversation around dreams from fear and doubt, to hope and possibility, followed by action and results.

Some might say this is not the right time to dream. The media and masses say, “It’s time to be realistic.” Consider this. Without our dreams all we have is our present reality. Reality is not a bad thing. We have to know where we are so we can design the appropriate strategy for getting to where we want to be. The challenge is our attitude around “reality” and being “realistic” and what being realistic has cost us. Often that’s our passion and joy, our hopes and dreams.

Given the unknowns and sometimes craziness of life, there’s never been a more important time to dream and setting your intention is the first step. When should you set an intention? You could set an intention every day. Your intention could be to work less and make more, or to find a new career that you are passionate about. It could be to get healthy and physically fit, or to spend more quality time with loved ones or alone. It can be specific and about something in particular or more like a quality, such as to be more relaxed or involved with life.

At seventy, Bessie set an intention to become a world famous photographer. Although many thought she was too old, she didn’t. She entered a photo contest where she won the first prize of $10,000. Her prize-winning photo toured around the world with a Kodak exhibit. She told me, “We’re never too old to make a dream come true.”

People set intentions on all kinds of dreams; to get married or have children, to get a job or make a career change, to write a book, lose weight, or move to a foreign country. When you set an intention and then act on it to demonstrate your commitment, amazing things occur. Intention can also give us fortitude for dealing with tough times. I am currently rebuilding my home. I simply wanted to add on a new bathroom, but with all the surprises an old (and charming) house can offer, every turn has been a shock, sometimes even a nightmare. It looks like the entire building may need to be rebuilt. My intention is to live through this process with dignity and grace. I am tested daily. It’s often not easy, but this intention has helped me maintain composure, sanity, and on a good day, a sense of humor. Intention can be used for community or social issues, global events or (literally) in your own backyard.

For example:
  • Before you get out of bed, you can intend to have a fun or productive day.
  • Before you leave the house, you can intend to have quality time with your family or roommate.
  • Before you start your car, you can intend to have a safe ride to work.
  • Before you enter your workplace, you can intend to learn something new or be helpful.
  • Before the meeting begins, you can intend to be brilliant or calm.
  • First Steps:

    1. Get clear about something you want and write it down.

    2. Share your intention with someone in a way that will supportively hold you accountable to taking action.

    3. Do something today to demonstrate your commitment to your intention.

    4. Acknowledge that you did what you said you would and then, take the next step.

By setting an intention, you make it clear to yourself and others, just what you plan to do. Set an intention to redefine what it means to be serious about your dreams.

Whose your Dad?

Over the holiday seasons we always give out gifts cards, so I gave a man one today and he said " Wow you must have a lot of money to do this?' And I said " Nope but my dad is rich", He said, "Really? " I said " Oh Yeah, he is limitless, he has a lot of everything, he's a doctor, he's a lawyer, he's even a banker, and he fixes broken hearts. He gives me everything that I ask for and sometimes even things that are better than I could ever imagine!" He said " Do you think he would help me, someone like me I have been unemployed for sometime, and my wife left me, maybe he can help me?' I said " I know that he will , I will ask him, but sometimes he wants you to ask for yourself." He said " when can I meet him." "Anytime", I told him, he's your dad too, his name is God and he loves you and makes all things possible for his children who believe."  Whose Your Daddy?

The Power of giving

Giving is powerful. Many people will attempt to prevent you from taking, yet no one can stop you from giving as much as you wish.
Give, and you increase the value that flows through your life. Give of yourself, and you make yourself stronger.
Every time you interact with someone else, you have the opportunity to give that person some kind of value. Whether it is a thing, or a thought, a gesture or a kind word, the most powerful gifts are those that come straight from the heart.
Many will appreciate your gifts and some will not, but that is not the point. For it is the sincere act of giving, not how the gift is received, that brings value and goodness to your world.
As you give more and more, you have more to give. As the joy of giving flows out from you, new richness fills your life.
Each moment is an opportunity to engage the beautiful, loving power of giving. Give your best and you’ll get even better.

How to Attract Abundance by Wayne Dyer

Ten Steps to feeling successful in your life!

Step 1: See the world as an abundant, providing, friendly place.
When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. When you see the world as abundant and friendly, your intentions are genuine possibilities. They will, in fact, become a certainty, because your world will be experienced from the higher frequencies. In this first step, you're receptive to a world that provides rather than restricts. You'll see a world that wants you to be successful and abundant, rather than one that conspires against you.
Step 2: Affirm: I attract success and abundance into my life because that is who I am.
This puts you into vibratory harmony with your Source. Your goal is to eliminate any distance between what you desire and that from which you pull it into your life. Abundance and success aren't out there waiting to show up for you. You are already it, and the Source can only provide you with what it is, and, consequently, what you are already.
Step 3: Stay in an attitude of allowing. Resistance
is disharmony between your desire for abundance and your beliefs about your ability or unworthiness.
Allowing
means a perfect alignment. An attitude of allowing means that you ignore efforts by others to dissuade you. It also means that you don't rely on your pervious ego-oriented beliefs about abundance being a part of or not a part of your life. In an attitude of
allowing
, all resistance in the form of thoughts of negativity or doubt are replaced with simply knowing that you and your Source are one and the same. Picture the abundance you desire freely flowing directly to you. Refuse to do anything or have any thought that compromises your alignment with Source.
Step 4: Use your present moments to activate thoughts that are in harmony with the seven faces of intention [creativity, kindness, love, beauty, expansion, abundance, and peaceful receptivity].
The key phrase here is
present moments
. Notice right now, in this moment, if you're thinking that it's hopeless at this stage of your life to change the thoughts that comprise your belief system. Do you defeat yourself with thoughts of having had such a long life practicing affirmations of scarcity and creating resistance to your success and abundance that you don't have enough time left to counterbalance the thoughts that comprise your belief system?
Make the choice to let go of that lifetime of beliefs, and begin activating thoughts rights now that allow you to feel good. Say
I want to feel good
whenever anyone tries to convince you that your desires are futile. Say
I want to feel good
when you're tempted to return to low energy thoughts of disharmony with intention. Eventually your present moments will activate thoughts that make you feel good, and this is an indicator that you're reconnecting to intention. Wanting to feel good is synonymous with wanting to feel
God
. Remember, "God is good, and all that God created was good."
Step 5: Initiate actions that support your feelings of abundance and success.
Here, the key word is
actions
. I've been calling this
acting as if
or
thinking from the end
and acting that way. Put your body into a gear that pushes you toward abundance and feeling successful. Act on those passionate emotions as if the abundance and success you seek is already here. Speak to strangers with passion in your voice. Answer the telephone in an inspired way. Do a job interview from the place of confidence and joy. Read the books that mysteriously show up, and pay close attention to conversation that seem to indicate you're being called to something new.
Step 6: Remember that your prosperity and success will benefit others, and that no one lacks abundance because you've opted for it.
The supply is unlimited. The more you partake of the universal generosity, the more you'll have to share with others. In writing this book, wonderful abundance has flowed into my life in many ways. But even more significantly, book editors and graphic designers, the truck drivers who deliver the book, the auto workers who build the trucks, the farmers who feed the auto workers, and bookstore clerks. all receive abundance because I've followed my bliss and have written this book.
Step 7: Monitor your emotions as a guidance system for your connection to the universal mind of intention.
Strong emotions such as passion and bliss are indications that you're connected to Spirit, or
inspired
, if you will. When you're inspired, you activate dormant forces, and the abundance you seek in any form comes streaming into your life. When you're experiencing low-energy emotions of rage, anger, hatred, anxiety, despair, and the like, that's a clue that while your desires may be strong, they're completely out of sync with the field of intention. Remind yourself in these moments that you want to feel good, and see if you can activate a thought that
supports
your feeling good.
Step 8: Become as generous to the world with your abundance as the field of intention is to you.
Don't stop the flow of abundant energy by hoarding or owning what you receive. Keep it moving. Use your prosperity in the service of others, and for causes greater than your ego. The more you practice detachment, the more you'll stay in vibratory harmony with the all-giving Source of everything.
Step 9: Devote the necessary time to meditate on the Spirit within as the source of your success and abundance.
There's no substitute for the practice of meditation. This is particularly relevant with abundance. You must have an understanding that your
consciousness of the presence
is your supply. By repeating the sound that is in the name of God as a mantra, you're using a technique for manifesting as ancient as recorded history. I am particularly drawn to the form of meditation called Japa. I know it works.
Step 10: Develop an attitude of gratitude for all that manifests into your life.
Be thankful and filled with awe and appreciation, even if what you desire hasn't arrived yet. Even the darkest days of your life are to be looked on with gratitude. Everything coming from Source is on purpose. Be thankful while empowering your reconnection to that form from which you and everything else originated.

. . .

The energy that creates worlds and universes is within you. It works through attraction and energy. Everything vibrates; everything has a vibratory frequency. As St. Paul said, "God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance." Tune to God's frequency, and you will know it beyond any and all doubt!

God is always Awake

Have courage for the great sorrows of life, and patience for the small ones. When you have laboriously accomplished your daily tasks, go yo sleep in peace. God is Awake.

Speak It!

Today I am going to share with you some of my favorite affirmations. Affirmations are a great way to give your spirit a boost, it is like having a reserve gas tank, so when you are running low your consciousness  kicks in and helps you out. Remember what you put in your spirit comes out your mouth. Choose wisely:

"I am a child of God in whom he is well pleased"

"My children are happy , healthy , whole, and blessed"

"I give thanks that I am the ever renewing, the ever unfolding expression of infinite life, health, and energy."

"Let there be peace within my walls and prosperity within my palaces."

"I give thanks for ever increasing health, youth and beauty."

"I am the radiant child of God, my mind, body and affairs now express his radiant perfection."

"I give thanks that I am now rich, well and happy and that my financial affairs are in divine order. Every day in every way I am growing richer and richer."

" I am happy , healthy and whole"

" I am worthy"

I am at the right place, at the right time"

"I am successful"

" I ask and it is GIVEN"

"I am in a loving, caring, wonderful relationship with a great partner. We are one"

"I am love"

Feel free to use these, change them or just pick one that resonates with you. I will guarantee you are using a affirmation for a week, without fail you will see a difference in how you feel. Try it!

Need to Get Some Bills Paid, Write a Note

There are times in everybody's life when the bills outweigh the money. I want to share with you a technique that works and I know that it works because I have used it many times
When your bills arrive in the mail, instead of resenting them, write on the envelopes “I give thanks for your immediate and complete payment. You are immediately and completely paid through the rich avenues of divine substance.”
When the bills have already piled up, it is also good to make a list of those owed and the amount owing, and beside or beneath each one write out the same statement concerning their immediate payment.
If you have lots of unpaid bills for months, go through them and make a list of the amounts owed and to whom. List first those you’ve owed the longest and those which are the most urgent. Write the above statement about immediate payment.
Then make a second list, showing the ones that should be absolutely paid within the next week, along with the statement “I give thanks that you are immediately and completely paid by ____” and list the date a week from now.
Repeat this each week because the priorities may change. You’ll see that they will be paid step by step. As you are catching up, you should begin to use this technique when new bills arrive. This will help you gain control of your thinking about your financial matters.

Love, Angels and Goddess

Today, every client  that I saw was looking for love, the right love, new love, rekindling an old love! I thought oh my I know that there is not a lack of love, For there is not a lack of anything in this wonderful  universe!  Since today is Friday and it's  known as the day of love. I thought I would share some great information with you, so if you are looking for love, wanting to rekindle a love or just want to be prepared, this post is for you.

First, Venus is the Goddess of love, she was strong and beautiful. She had many lovers both mortal and divine, is what history says. Fridays is the day of Venus. Today is a great day for you to ( as all days are) carry your rose quartz,  which helps with love of oneself and attracting love.  You will never have the love that you deserve if you don't first love yourself, you gotta know that! Wear something red or pink, as well as lighting a pink candle with your love desires underneath.

Then, we have the Angel of love Archangel Chamuel, he is a wonderful and powerful Archangel. Great for helping you love yourself as well as others. If you feel lonely or if your heart has been broken this is the Angel for you. Chamuel will help to build lasting, long term, healthy  meaningful relationships.  So include him on your search.

Arielle Ford the author of " The Soulmate Secret" said that when she was on the quest for her husband, she clean out the closet, mental and psychically. She visioned him coming home after work, she talked to him like he could hear her. She created an love altar using buddha tradition.  But the most important thing that she said was when she was ready.

Prepare yourself for love, clean out your emotional closet. The right love will find you at the right time. Believe me they are looking for you .

Be Blessed,
Fran

Bless all you have and have not!

I love to listen to books on Cd's  as I drive and today I was listening to The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity by Catherine Ponder.I love this book because it takes me back to the principles that I sometimes forget in the hustle and bustle of life. My favorite thing that she talks about is blessing what you have and what you expect. She even speaks of the joy in paying your bills by blessing them with this statement:" I give thanks for your immediate and complete payment. You are immediately and completely paid through rich avenues of Divine Substances." Catherine goes on to tell how writing this on your bills as you prepare to pay them will bring unexpected miracles.

I was overwhelmed one day when I first lost my job and was looking at everything that needed to be paid, so I tried it. I began to write this on my bills and give thanks for everything, lights, gas and water, and much to my surprise...  Everything got paid and I had some left over!.

So now when I receive a bill I give thanks that I have a home in which I have a  bill that will be paid.. I say a prayer of gratitude before I pay anything. Any monies that I receive I take my 10% tithe out, bless it and keep it  moving.( The Law of Circulation)

Just saying thank you works a world of wonder!!!! Try this method you will not be disappointed.
Tell me what do you bless?

Take your eyes off your problems

Message of the day: Today as I was walking and listening to my wonderful Angels they gave me this beautiful message.... You as humans look at the door, you stand there and think " How are I gonna open this door, I have no key?" You do everything in your power to open the door yet you still can't. What you have to do is take your eyes off of the door and out it on God, Source, Universe, Higher Power for they have the key to the door, you have to look to the power that is higher than you to help with all things, take your eyes off the problem and put them on your Source.~ ♥♥♥♥

The only thing you can change...

Today I was filled with  thanksgiving, as I went into my mediation and praise I could not stop crying. My heart was so full and all I could do was say "thank you"The spirit began to take me back to a place I was a few  years ago, I was so worried about my friends, my family, my mate, my children my everything, I wanted to fix it all. Once I finally realize that I can't fix anyone or change anything, the only thing that I could change was me. Once I released all that worry into the universe my soul began to fill lighter, I was happy and free. My world did a total 360 ,when some of the people around me saw the change and started the process within themselves to be free. The one and only thing that you can change, and have control of changing is you. Find the peace within today.

Life Happens on Purpose

I have been so intrigued with Oprah's life class, that I can hardly wait for the next one.But last night class hit me right where I needed it to. In my heart. As she talked about finding your purpose and taking the time to become one with that purpose and most importantly how everybody has one. I was filled with this sense of Gratitude.

You see no matter who you are and what you have( or don't) we all have a purpose in life. No matter how many time you hear things that are negative about your purpose, it is just that yours. Your life will never feel complete until you allow you soul to connect to your heart and you start living on purpose. We can all find reason to not do what are hearts are telling us to do, but I guarantee you that as many reason why you can't there will be that many more why you can.

Take the time today to find out just what God has in store for your life. Live on purpose. Thanks Oprah!

Live Today

Lately I have had overwhelming feelings of joy and peace. No matter what is going on around me, I feel so grounded and happy. I sat down yesterday and I realized somethings. I have made peace with my life just as it is right now, this very moment everything and everyone in my life are placed exactly where they are suppose to be and life is good, it is good today. The purpose of my sharing this is that once you know that you know everything begins to flow. You don;t have to keep asking when, where how, you just have to know that God had heard every single prayer that you have prayed and is in the mist of aligning the universe to bring to you your very desires. Don't get caught up in what if, and maybe's just give thanks and live today!

Blessings,
Fran

Vision Board Creation

Yesterday I hosted a vision board creation class, and there were a lot of people there that came feeling like they knew exactly what they wanted but had not ideal why the vision board was nit bring it to them. Creating a vision board seems simple enough but it is the power of the intentions that brings the vision to reality. There are three types of vision boards I will share with you, this can be your starting place

Christine Kane explains the three  types of vision boards:

1 - The “I Know Exactly What I Want” Vision Board
Do this vision board if:
- You’re very clear about your desires.
- You want to change your environment or surroundings.
- There is a specific thing you want to manifest in your life. (i.e. a new home, or starting a business.)
How to create this vision board:
With your clear desire in mind, set out looking for the exact pictures which portray your vision. If you want a house by the water, then get out the Dwell magazine and start there. If you want to start your own business, find images that capture that idea for you. If you want to learn guitar, then find that picture. I remember at the last retreat, one woman yelled out, “If anyone finds a picture of a little girl with red hair who looks happy, give it to me!” And someone else yelled out, “I’m looking for a Cadillac!” Pretty soon, a lively trading session began. Following the five steps above, create your vision board out of these images.

2 – The “Opening and Allowing” Vision Board
Do this vision board if:
- You’re not sure what exactly you want
- You’ve been in a period of depression or grief
- You have a vision of what you want, but are uncertain about it in some way.
- You know you want change but don’t know how it’s possible.
How to create this vision board:
Go through each magazine. Tear out images that delight you. Don’t ask why. Just keep going through the magazines. If it’s a picture of a teddy bear that makes you smile, then pull it out. If it’s a cottage in a misty countryside, then rip it out. Just have fun and be open to whatever calls to you. Then, as you go through Step 2 above, hold that same openness, but ask yourself what this picture might mean. What is it telling you about you? Does it mean you need to take more naps? Does it mean you want to get a dog, or stop hanging out with a particular person who drains you? Most likely you’ll know the answer. If you don’t, but you still love the image, then put it on your vision board anyway. It will have an answer for you soon enough. Some women at my retreats had NO idea what their board was about, and it wasn’t until two months later that they understood. The Opening and Allowing Vision Board can be a powerful guide for you. I like it better than the first model because sometimes our egos think they know what we want, and lots of times those desires aren’t in alignment with who we really are. This goes deeper than just getting what you want. It can speak to you and teach you a little bit about yourself and your passion.

3 – The “Theme” Vision Board

Do this vision board if:
- It’s your birthday or New Years Eve or some significant event that starts a new cycle.
- If you are working with one particular area of your life. For instance, Work & Career.
How to create this vision board:
The only difference between this vision board and the others is that this one has clear parameters and intent. Before you begin the vision board, take a moment to hold the intent and the theme in mind. When you choose pictures, they will be in alignment with the theme. You can do the Theme Vision Board on smaller pages, like a page in your journal.

Some things to remember about vision boards:

- You can use a combination of all three types of vision boards as you create. Sometimes you might start out doing one kind, and then your intuition takes over and shifts into a whole different mode. That’s called creativity. Just roll with it.

- Your vision board might change as you are making it. I was just talking with a friend of mine who said that she had been making a vision board for the new year. The theme was all about what she wanted in this year. Then, as she pulled pictures and began to lay them out, the theme changed into a simpler one about her everyday life and the moments in each day. It surprised and delighted her to experience that evolution. You might find that you have little epiphanies from making a vision board.

Make a Vision Journal

Another option is to use these same principles in a big sketch book. Get a large sketch book and keep an on-going vision journal. This is especially effective if you’re going through many transitions in your life.
I welcome anyone who has created a vision board to write your own experience in the comments…

It is also nice to have a vision board partner, someone who can hold your vision for you. Make sure they believe.

Many Blessings,
Fran

Loving Actions By P.L. Desy

Continuous effort, not superior strength or intelligence, is the key to unlocking our true potential. —Winston Churchill

Learning to love is like learning to master an instrument or an art. The following is a list of factors these acts all have in common.

Possibility—This includes having the time to devote to the art, and the physical capacity to do it. One can not very well pick up a violin if one’s hands are broken. Time, more often than not, is something that gets in the way of being able to devote oneself to loving.

Commitment—It is much easier to pronounce “I paint” or “I love you” than it is to actually master painting and to unconditionally love someone. Without the wish, will and dedication to work, it will never happen.

Goals—This includes the ultimate goal of mastering the art as well as all the stepping stones along the way. Staying focused on the present is important, yet without an idea of where one is heading it’s easy to get lost.

Instrument—Just as I can not very well master the guitar on a block of wood, I cannot love without an object for my affections. This doesn’t mean a person has to be in a romantic relationship to practice loving—we can practice loving human kind, friends, family, pets, god, and most importantly, ourselves.

Confidence—This does not mean that if you think you’re the best cellist, then you will be. It refers to accepting where you are in your practice. Expecting to be a master on your first try is unrealistic. Mastering an art takes a lifetime, and surely many mistakes will be made along the way.

Patience—Hand-in-hand with confidence, patience is needed to persevere through the low points. If martial arts were easy, everyone would do it. The same goes for love. Truly opening yourself to another, being vulnerable, and accepting the other unconditionally takes a lot of effort. It is a common misconception that “love should just come naturally.”

Model—If I took a person who has never heard music, gave him a clarinet and said, “play me some jazz,” he would not have the foggiest idea what I was talking about. In love, we model our behavior after those who influence us—whether it be from family, friends, a religious figure, mentor, therapist, or books.

Discipline—Practice makes perfect. Even when you’re tired, or when you’d rather just watch a movie, you’ve got to push through and always remember to keep at it.

Persistence—Working closely with confidence, persistence requires having faith in the process of learning. That even though you don’t get it all now, if you keep at it, eventually you will.

Environment—A safe space to learn, practice, make mistakes and try again is also needed. A ballet dancer needs a studio with a bar, and a lover needs freedom to explore and express his or her feelings.
